El Cajon, California — A pregnant mother in Southern California, who “bravely confronted the beatings and harassment of Tullivan” while trying to escape Afghanistan, has safely left the country, Darrell Issa said Friday.
“His team has successfully facilitated the release of pregnant American citizen Nasria from Afghanistan,” Issa, who represents most of East County, said in a news release.

Before On twitter, Issa explained that Nazria has “brave beatings and harassment by the Taliban trying to pass their checkpoints to return to the United States.”
Parliamentarians now say that a 25-year-old mother is returning home, but she is leaving the father of a married child in Afghanistan behind.
Issa says he first heard about the Nasria case through a friend who contacted his office. “Members and his team soon established a communication channel with Nasria and began coordinating her safe return,” the news release said.
