Securing Congressional support for his bills that protect families from sexually violent predators and the fentanyl crisis are among the priorities for Rep. Darrell Issa, whose 48th Congressional District includes Poway.
Issa said his Stopping Sexually Violent Predators Act is meant to fix the system that forces SVPs into communities and near children and families. Alexandra’s Law is Issa’s federal solution to combat the fentanyl crisis by significantly increasing penalties for drug dealers of fentanyl.
In addition, Issa said he will lead oversight of the Biden administration investigations that include national security challenges with China and in the Middle East, the crisis at the southern border, allegations of the weaponization of the federal government and an impeachment inquiry of President Biden.
